The viewing box and the stage. Stepping onto the balcony is a particularly conscious action. Something is pulling me there, the sun, a noise, the view, or simple daydreaming, or to watch others daydream in the park below. We day dream together. In that step, the awareness of all the other balconies and windows that look onto me is felt… If I watch, I have to watch with confidence, I know they know that I am watching.
