The second layer of glass was never a part of the plan.

“It started in the mid 80’s, people glassing in their balconies.
I remember running home from kindergarten and complaining to my mom… ‘Mom, when will we glass in our balcony? All the other kids have glassed in balconies!'”

“Its all across the balkans now. It’s just what you do.”

The second layer of glass, however, makes for some revealing reflections, and the illusion of privacy is abolished as the second layer becomes a screen broadcasting the inner happenings of your apartment to all apartments, behind or to the side, who can see that coveted second layer of glass.

Reflections which are not always as innocent as a sunrise.
